This beautiful Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir was born from a partnership between acclaimed Healdsburg Chef Dustin Valette and legendary winemaker Bob Cabral, best known for his 17-year stint at Williams Selyem. Sourced from pristine sites like Campbell Ranch overlooking the Pacific in Annapolis, Canfield overlooking the Petaluma Gap, and Menini in the Sebastopol Hills, the phenomenal 2021 vintage capitalized on a dry, slow-ripening growing season that yielded small, highly concentrated berries with excellent natural acidity. Handcrafted with 30–35% whole clusters, native yeast fermentation, and 11 months of aging in French oak, this wine leaps from the glass with a high-toned, expressive bouquet of wild raspberries, dark cherries, and fresh violets, seamlessly layered with complex signatures of damp earth, black tea, and exotic spices. On the palate, it delivers fantastic depth and a lithe, satiny texture. Framed by fine-grained, smooth tannins that have rounded out nicely, it glides into a long, beautifully polished finish. This is classic, old school Sonoma Pinot Noir, with a few years of bottle age that puts it perfectly in it's window for prime drinking.
