The Ravera vineyard in Novello has recently become the most sought-after site in the appellation, and no one understands its alpine soul better than the Vajra family. This is a wine of incredible power and tension—the result of high-elevation limestone soils and 2019’s long, slow growing season. The wine soars out of the glass with striking notes of wild raspberries, orange zest, and white pepper. The structure is athletic and saline, closing with a skyscraper-like finish that stays on your palate for minutes. This towering achievement by G.D.
