It looks like we’ve found ourselves our new go-to White this spring. Bright and refreshing, this Albariño pops with notes of Meyer lemon, peach, and crisp green apple, balanced by zesty acidity and a hint of sea spray. Its clean, mineral finish makes it impossible not to love on its own. Uptown Ranch Vineyard is located in Lodi, California, within the Mokelumne River AVA. It benefits from cool coastal breezes and sun-drenched days, creating the ideal microclimate for vibrant, expressive wines. Its well-drained soils and gentle slopes promote balanced growth, while the diurnal temperature shifts enhance natural acidity and flavor complexity. Winemaker Aaron Pott and Perliss Wines vintner Anthony Perliss are behind this newly discovered gem of a White. 335 cases were produced.
About Mythical...
Winemaker Aaron Pott has one of the most classic pedigrees you could encounter, having served as director of famed Château Figeac in Bordeaux and crafted wines for Napa Valley icons like Beringer and Seven Stones. Anthony Perliss came to wine later, after a career as an art director in New York, Paris, and Milan. He returned to the Bay Area when his father purchased a vineyard in the Calistoga foothills, where Anthony, with his eclectic background, became captivated by Napa’s wilder, more mysterious corners. Their partnership, Mythical, became an outlet to explore Napa’s lesser-known varieties and styles—an adventure through the valley’s rich and untamed landscape.
