Longtime Sauvignon Blanc enthusiasts, the couple decided to craft a white wine alongside their Estate Cabernet, partnering with friend Maayan Koschitzky, Director of Winemaking at Atelier Melka. Maayan connected them with a top dry-farmed, cool-climate vineyard in Coombsville, where he now oversees their Sauvignon Blanc, while Matt Sands of Lithology makes their Cabernet nearby. The 2023 vintage was exceptional—cooler, balanced, and expressive—yielding a wine that’s vibrant and precise, with layers of yuzu, white pear, and honeysuckle carried through a long, crystalline finish. 141 cases were produced. Limit up to three bottles per person.
MOWE’s story is deeply rooted in the wine world. After more than two decades leading a top Napa-based cork company supplying many of California’s finest wineries, Dustin and Renee Mowe turned their passion for wine into something of their own. In 2020, they purchased a 1-acre vineyard along Silverado Trail—planted by David Abreu in 1990 with the renowned Spottswoode clone—and began producing their own wines. With a shared love of Sauvignon Blanc, they partnered with winemaker Maayan Koschitzky of Atelier Melka to source fruit from a dry-farmed, cool-climate vineyard in Coombsville. Today, Maayan crafts their Sauvignon Blanc while Matt Sands of Lithology oversees the Cabernet—both of which became near overnight successes, earning acclaim and collector interest from their debut release.
