Chris Maybach owns a small 1-acre vineyard in the Sonoma Coast AVA near his home in Occidental. Planted in 2007, winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown selected two California Heritage clones, Swan and Calera, to craft a wine that reflects the unique soil and climate. The challenging conditions of this site, with views of the Pacific Ocean, produce wines with distinctive characteristics. This Pinot Noir offers rich depth with notes of cassis and forest floor, complemented by subtle hints of cranberry and plum, all balanced by lively acidity and a crisp, aromatic finish. 91 cases were produced.
