This charming project in Santa Barbara is dedicated to the production of just three varieties—Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc. Lieu Dit endeavors to make food-friendly wines inspired by the communal wine culture of France. Their winemaker Justin Willett is a Santa Barbara native who is also the winemaker for Tyler Wines. The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is an absolute delight. Sourced from McGinley, China Blue, and Santa Ynez Vineyards and aged in a combination of neutral French oak and stainless steel, the wine is a balanced delight between freshness and texture. Guava, grapefruit pith and lime skin make for a delicious classical expression of the variety.
