Winemaker Helen Keplinger sources this Chardonnay from the historic Zio Tony Vineyard, a cool-climate site in the Russian River Valley farmed by the Martinelli family and planted with old-vine Wente clones dating back to 1989. The 2024 vintage delivers a focused, mineral-driven profile, opening with aromas of fresh lemon peel, grapefruit, lemongrass, and crushed flint, alongside subtle notes of salted nuts. On the palate, a textural mouthfeel is balanced by crisp, persistent acidity, carrying bright citrus and orchard fruit flavors through a clean, taut finish. This refined, site-expressive Chardonnay will drink beautifully now or over the next five to seven years.
