Joseph Colin’s 2023 ‘Le Trézin’ Puligny-Montrachet comes from one of the coolest sites in the appellation, where limestone-rich soils give the wine its precision and energy. What makes it special is Colin’s restrained, transparent winemaking—minimal intervention, older oak, and no bâtonnage—allowing the vineyard to speak clearly. The result is a fresher, more mineral-driven profile than the richer, fuller styles of lower-slope crus like Les Pucelles or Les Combettes, highlighting Puligny’s tension and finesse rather than its opulence.
