Longtime friend of Tom Gamble and renowned winemaker, Philippe Melka, is now leading the production team at Gamble Family, working closely with Tom in the vineyard and the winery. Comprised of estate fruit from their Oakville vineyard, the vines are all Clone 337 a French clone from Bordeaux, which yield tiny berries of exceptional color and flavor intensity. These valley floor vines, grown on clay-loam soils, produce fruit with velvety tannins and rich deep flavors. "This rich and inviting Cabernet boasts powerful aromas of black cherry, fig preserves, blackberry, dark chocolate and toasted oak. The vineyard’s heavier clay & loam Valley floor soils give us round and delightfully silky tannins. Its classically concentrated palate showcases notes of black currant, blackberry compote, cocoa nibs, and cinnamon stick. Delicious in its youth, this wine will continue to develop and evolve over the next 10 years." 350 cases were produced.
