Jason Exposto, longtime winemaker, has been on the FUTO team since the beginning. He not only oversees winemaking but the farming side as well. That sort of innate ability to manage both sides of production has always helped this Oakville estate property make great wine. For this newest offering, Jason describes the wine as offering ‘chalk and crushed rocks that open out to a core of ripe pears, yellow apples, and white floral. It’s superbly silky texture, framing the tight-knit apple and citrus layers, and supported by a refreshing backbone of soft acidity.’ This is a sophisticated White that glides onto the palate with immense satisfaction. 

Welcome to the first vintage of SETA. Made by Jason Exposto and sourced from FUTO’s estate vineyard blocks, these two releases are an incredible addition to this Oakville and Stags Leap District winery. As Tom Futo explains, “We find that many of our components, through singularly alluring and possessing very attractive attributes, are not utilized in the final blends of the single vineyard tier.” Simply put, they are delicious and a great foray into what FUTO offers.
