Mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with a little Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot, this 2021 is a showstopper, especially given its pedigree in winemaking and vineyard terroir. With an hour decant, it evolves into a deep noted Red that showcases FUTO’s estate vineyards in western Oakville and Stags Leap District. “The full-bodied palate is layered and intense, featuring exquisitely ripe, fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness. Crushed blueberries, fresh blackcurrants, and black cherry preserves with an evocative undercurrent of licorice, sandalwood, and clove oil.” 

Welcome to the first vintage of SETA. Made by Jason Exposto and sourced from FUTO’s estate vineyard blocks, these two releases are an incredible addition to this Oakville and Stags Leap District winery. As Tom Futo explains, “We find that many of our components, through singularly alluring and possessing very attractive attributes, are not utilized in the final blends of the single vineyard tier.” Simply put, they are delicious and a great foray into what FUTO offers.
