This famed vineyard owned by Andy Beckstoffer since 1983 was the first one that Andy bought when moving to Napa Valley from the east coast. Yet it pre-dates the Beckstoffer family by another century as it is thought to be the oldest vineyard in what is now the St. Helena AVA. The farm workers named the vineyard in celebration of its gravelly soil- Las Piedras is the literal Spanish translation of “The Stones” and it is aptly named. With access to this great vineyard site, Benoit Touquette makes the most of his fruit and produces a knockout Cabernet that offers intensity, rich aromas, balanced structure, and a profound finish. “Raspberry and floral aromas meld with mineral notes of flint and graphite. The palate shines with freshness and energy, supported by seamless tannins and perfectly integrated oak. An elegant, enduring finish unfolds with aromatic red fruit and mocha throughout.” 300 cases were produced.
