After decanting this debut vintage of Fairest Creature for an hour, this is a WOW wine. We know because that’s exactly what we just did with the last bottle we tasted. Fairest Creature produces richly noted yet precisely balanced wines made by three of the most prominent Napa Valley winemakers including Benoit Touquette, Thomas Rivers Brown, and Philippe Melka. Three singular and distinctive wines are produced each year, referred to as the “mono winemaker” series. Each winemaker makes their imprint of the same fruit at their disposal from premier grower vineyards in Napa Valley. ‘Sine Fine’ is the finished wine made by Benoit. Comprised of 100% Cabernet, it exhibits a “dense purple color and an incredible bouquet of blackcurrants, violets, cassis, smoke tobacco, and graphite. This is a rich, full-bodied wine, extremely seductive and hedonistic with ripe, well integrated tannins and no edges.” 250 cases were produced.
