The best Sauvignon Blanc we've tasted this year. From a 3-acre block comprised of 28-year-old vines on the Ehrlich family’s Oakville property, this single-vineyard gem is vibrant, textured, and seriously compelling. Aged in neutral French oak, it hits with bright citrus, green melon, and white blossoms, then lingers with lemon curd, apricot, and a streak of minerality that ties it all together. In previous years, the family sold the fruit to Accendo. It’s both crisp and deeply satisfying, striking just the right balance. Paul Hobbs continues to make their wine and made 65 cases of this newest vintage. This wine will sell quickly; now is the time to try it.
About Ehrlich...
Ehrlich is divided into three distinct blocks. The grapes for this wine were carefully selected from Block C, located at the north end of the property, and planted in 2017. This block benefits from ample sunlight exposure throughout the day, gravely fine Pleasanton loam soil, and its proximity to the Napa River water table.
