Located on the valley floor in the Oakville AVA, the Ehrlich Vineyard sits at the very heart of the Napa Valley. Patricia and Cliff Ehrlich first visited Napa in 1967, eventually purchasing their estate in the late 1990s, where their vines have long produced esteemed grapes for other top wineries. Today, they collaborate with Paul Hobbs to produce an exceptional 100% Cabernet Sauvignon under their own family label. The 2023 vintage was carefully sourced from the estate's Block C, a parcel planted in 2017 that features Pleasanton gravelly loam soil and enjoys optimal sun exposure. Benefiting from a classic, balanced growing season with extended hang time, the wine offers lovely aromas of blueberry and raspberry compote on the nose. On the palate, notes of warm spice, cedar, and graphite seamlessly intertwine. Aged for 20 months in 40% new French oak, it is beautifully balanced and juicy, delivering a long, enjoyable finish that perfectly captures Oakville's signature power and elegance.
