The fifth release of ‘Crossroads’ from the 48-acre organic Oakville Estate is the most concentrated yet with a dark black cherry core and hints of mocha. It is almost unheard of to have an Estate Oakville Cabernet under $100, but Rudd even further pushes for quality by picking on 9 separate dates to ensure perfect ripeness of each parcel. With a modest 47% new French oak, the wine already feels approachable and ready to drink in its relative youth.
Crossroads is estate grown, coming from the same vineyards, and crafted by the same winemaking team as Rudd Estate, making it a reflection of the place and the people of Rudd Estate. Despite the pedigree of an Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon and Mt. Veeder Sauvignon Blanc, Crossroads is priced accessibly and is meant to be enjoyed upon release.
