This rare, allocated proprietary red represents a masterfully orchestrated Bordeaux-style blend crafted by star winemaker KK Carothers. While the flagship Bryant Estate bottling is a pure expression of Pritchard Hill Cabernet, Bettina is a multi-dimensional blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 12% Petit Verdot sourced from Bryant Family Vineyard on Pritchard Hill as well as David Abreu’s estate vineyards Madrona Ranch and Las Posadas. The 2022 vintage jumps from the glass with a beautiful bouquet of crème de cassis, wild blackberries, and black cherry preserves, seamlessly layered with complex signatures of crushed graphite, espresso bean, fresh violets, and a hint of mountain sage. On the palate, the wine delivers spectacular depth and a plush, velvety core of dark fruits, effortlessly kept light on its feet by natural acidity. Framed by fine-grained, remarkably smooth tannins that provide a sophisticated structure, it glides into a monumental, polished finish touched by mineral tension and dusty cocoa.
