Everything you seek in a seductive, sophisticated Cabernet is in this bottling. We recently had the opportunity to visit Brion Estate and were blown away by the quality of the wines. Owner Brion Wise adheres to a different model than most, working with several different winemakers for his single-vineyard bottlings. A standout of the lineup was this ‘Oakville Ranch’ Cabernet. The spectacular stony orange soils lend power and structure, but the site also offers a mysterious suppleness, creating immense dynamism. Mark Herold, also the winemaker of Kamen Wines, clearly understands how to handle the fruit this site offers. 11 barrels were made of this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon in 2019.
