The 2021 vintage for BRAND is the first vintage since 2019. It’s the culmination of three years of hard work, and all the inspiration behind it. Comprised entirely of their estate fruit from Pritchard Hill, it offers “scents of crushed stone and cedar shavings accenting intense aromas of black cherries and cassis. In the mouth, it's medium to full-bodied, tightly coiled and almost taut in feel, then eases into a long, velvety but tannic finish. Like the Proprietary Red, it seems sure to benefit from cellaring.” BRAND encompasses 110-acres with 12 acres planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and about an acre for white Italian varieties. Three distinct vineyards have been carved out of this rocky, almost untamed part of Pritchard Hill, with an elevation ranging from 1200-1400 above sea level. Within these blocks, there are 17 different vineyard blocks connecting 13 different rootstock and clonal combinations that bring these wines to life.

Philippe Melka has been overseeing this wine project from the beginning and their daytime winemaker Matt Johnson, previously of Dana Estates, are hitting his stride making the best vintages of BRAND yet.
