I opened a bottle of this for the dinner I hosted over the weekend to complement the AKC (Colossal Alaskan King Crab legs) that I had flown in from AK thanks to a friend who owns the fishery and also, I just wanted to try it and couldn't wait any longer. It was memorable and generous upon opening- a classic representation of this famed region. Solid acidity backs the brioche-y, hazelnut notes. White peach, citrus blossoms, mineral undertones- all of it was well aligned on the palate. Great price too for the quality.
Bachelet-Monnot, a distinguished winery in France's Burgundy region, was founded in 2005 by brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet. As fourth-generation winemakers, they blend modern techniques with traditional Burgundian craftsmanship. Located in Dezize-lès-Maranges in the Côte de Beaune subregion, the brothers cultivate around 22 hectares (54 acres) of vineyards across several appellations in both the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise.
