This 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from TOR’s B, D & F blocks in Beckstoffer ToKalon, all of which sit atop ancient riverbeds, providing special structure, depth, and complexity to the TOR style. They harvested Friday October 6th, two days before the start of the Atlas fire, gaining early phenolic ripeness thanks to their practice of managing their rows to one cluster per shot. The TOR team considers this one of our finest wines yet from this legendary site. It reminds them of their 2012, for its elegance, finesse and suppleness. Wonderfully complex nose with layers of cassis, cranberry, graphite, fresh earth and bouillon. Incredibly plush, dense with remarkable palate weight, yet a freshness and vitality, finishing long with velvety tannins.
