Aubert, TOR, Kistler, Patz & Hall and Ramey are just a few wineries that rely upon Larry Hyde’s vineyard for sourcing great Chardonnay and now winemaker Dan Petroski sources Chardonnay from this legendary, Grand Cru vineyard in Napa’s Carneros AVA. The estate’s 192-acre vineyard is comprised of rolling hills, fruit orchards and windy pastures with southeast exposure and maritime-influenced morning fog. Planted in 1979, Hyde Vineyard is tucked away in the southern part of Napa Valley. The parcel of Musque clone of Chardonnay that makes up this bottling was planted in 1992. The 2020 is vibrant and focused, with notes of stone fruit and citrus. It is for those who love a great Chablis.

At Massican, vintner and winemaker Dan Petroski shares his pursuit and love of unique and memorable white wines. Inspired by his roots in Italy, the Massican wines are made in Napa Valley while bringing the refreshing, bright style of Mediterranean white wines to California winemaking. In California Dan cultivates six white wine grape varieties in and around Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Four of the grape varieties trace their origins to Italy – Tocai Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Pinot Bianco and Greco.  Two of the grape varieties, although no strangers to Italy, are more widely known throughout the world – Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. These are must-try Whites that will deliver freshness with complexity and pure enjoyment to the palate.
