With the help of vintner and grower Lee Hudson’s longtime friend, John Kongsgaard of Kongsgaard Chardonnay fame, this 2020 showcases classic Hudson Vineyard fruit with focus and balanced acidity. It was blended from five parcels, all of which are planted to the Old Wente selection. The 2020 Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard is entirely barrel fermented and aged in about 60% new French oak. "Despite that, gently grilled pineapple slices make the first impression, not oak, with additional fruit nuances of white peach, pear and melon also appearing. It's medium to full-bodied but balances that heft and custardy richness with bright acids and a crisp, citrusy finish."

Over thirty years of meticulous winegrowing and winemaking experience goes into each bottle of Hudson Wine. Additionally, Hudson Vineyards’ premium grapes are sold to 27 wineries in Napa and Sonoma counties, some of which produce wines from specific vineyard sites identified as distinct and bear the ‘Hudson Vineyards’ designation on their labels.
