In 2005, Xavier took over what was previously known as Domaine René Monnier from his grandfather. The estate located in the heart of Meursault is fortunate to claim 17 hectares (42 acres) under vine, with exceptional parcels throughout the Côte de Beaune. Xavier maintains average vine age at 30-40 years, giving these wines consistently fantastic complexity. He uses minimal intervention in the vineyards and only natural yeast in the vineyards. This Monthelie Blanc is beautifully rich, while still allowing for mineral presence. It boasts the character of a truly classic White Burgundy.
