Winemaker Taylor Boydstun was unsure of a career-path when he joined Americorps and began traveling after college. This travel led him to winery internships in Austria, Australia, and California. He found a home making Cabernet Sauvignon for Teachworth Vineyard on Napa Valley’s Diamond Mountain, but his heart was with the varieties Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc, which inspired him to create T. Berkley, named for his grandfather. ‘Norgard’ is fermented in a combination of large French oak puncheons, cement and stainless steel and aged for one year on fine lees. The result is a textured lengthy mid-palate with loads of citrus and a delightfully refreshing finish.
