The 2022 Syrah Distenta IV, like the 2021 vintage came from vintner Manfred Krankl's estate vineyards- Eleven Confessions, The Third Twin and Cumulus. A blend of Syrah with a combined total of 17.3% of Grenache, Petite Sirah, Mourvèdre, Petit Manseng and Muscat, this new release offers "ample blue fruits, kirsch liqueur, pepper, and tons of spicy notes all shine here, and this puppy has a layered, velvety mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, no hard edges, and awesome length.
