Thomas Rivers Brown has produced another great vintage of this single vineyard Pinot Noir. The 2017 MCM88 is bold, complex and immediately engaging. What used to be known as Keefer Ranch in Russian River Valley, Thomas was able to get the famed vineyard block from this grower vineyard that was originally farmed by Kosta Browne. It offers "appealing aromas of baked blueberries, warm black cherries and boysenberry with nuances of bergamot, moss-covered bark and a hint of laurel. Medium-bodied and silky, there's a good balance of earth and fruit in the mouth, and it's framed by very finely grained tannins and juicy freshness, finishing earthy." 310 cases were produced.

Senses Wines originates in the small town of Occidental, in West Sonoma Coast, in which they produce exclusively Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. And who better to make these wines than Thomas Rivers Brown. Thomas loves these Burgundian varietals coming from this special nook close to the Pacific coastline. The three partners, Chris Strieter, Max Thieriot and Myles Lawrence-Briggs, all grew up in Occidental and Thomas was already producing outstanding wines from renowned vineyards owned by their families so in their minds, it was the perfect way to bring Senses to the next level.
