Comprised entirely of estate fruit from their Oakville vineyard with approximately 40-acres planted, this Estate Red is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The precision in farming and winemaking is unsurpassed yet the mood at the estate is bucolic and charming. You could drive past Screaming Eagle going north and south on Silverado Trail and never know it. This Estate 2013 Red is just beginning to show its potential. Like many 2013 Napa Valley Reds, they took a while to open because of their structure and age-worthiness. It offers sumptuous notes of dark red and blue fruit with subtle undertones of graphite and cedar. The tannins are velvety and mingle with the vibrant acidity to offer a completely integrated Red in the glass.
