Made by Russell Bevan since their inaugural vintage, this 2018 PerUs comes from the sought-after Houyi Vineyard on Pritchard Hill and even more sought-after Tench Vineyard in Oakville. It is a blockbuster Red showcasing full-bodied, opulent fruit with just the right amount of acidity to keep everything in line. “There has never been a PerUs wine that speaks to the purest essence of Cabernet Sauvignon as this does. A beam of blackberry and blueberry, a mouthfeel of verve and vibrancy - this is Cabernet's highest level of pure perfection.” – Russell Bevan. The inaugural vintage for PerUs was 2013 and Russell has been making their wine since the beginning. Russell is most known for making his own richly focused wines, Bevan Cellars, but he is also known for his efforts at Harbison and previously at Chateau Boswell. Russell is gregarious, larger-than-life and a lot of fun to hang out with but when it comes to winemaking, he is knee-deep in the vineyards and extremely precise with his winemaking process. 165 cases were produced.
