We just tasted this newest offering from Norma Hunt's estate vineyard in Knights Valley and really enjoyed it after an hour-long decant. They were fortunate to escape damage from the wildfires in recent years and their 15-acre vineyard is now hitting its stride. Norma continues to work with winemaker Philippe Melka and viticulturist Jim Barbour for this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2018 vintage of Perfect Season offers a sumptuous nose of "freshly-baked blackberry tart, juicy dark currants, red plums, cherry compote, and warm baking spice builds excitement for what's to come. On the palate, the wine is full and broad and includes touches of dusty cocoa, graphite, and dried lavender. It was barrel aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak. 239 cases were produced.
