We tasted with PerUs last week and loved this debut vintage offering from PerUs and especially its price point for its pedigree. Made in the style that has become winemaker Russell Bevan’s signature mark, this 2017 is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. The goal when crafting this wine was to showcase the amazing harmony that these two varietals highlight in each other. The Cabernet Sauvignon with all its power and purity of fruits is enhanced by the Merlot’s amazing mid-palate and richness. The Merlot with all its chocolate essence benefits from the Cabernets black berry and blueberry flavors. The resulting wine is a combination of power and seductiveness. 250 cases were produced.
