Sourced from a single block of Weitz Vineyard, vintner Chris Maybach and winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown have worked with this renowned grower vineyard since Maybach’s 2004 debut vintage. It rests at 1000 feet above the Silverado Trail on the eastern hillside of Oakville. The vines struggle to grow in shallow soil among boulders and stones, resulting in a deeply concentrated, elegantly textured Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Comprised of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, "the deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Materium Cabernet Sauvignon soars out of the glass with a gorgeous perfume of cinnamon toast, red roses, dusty soil and lavender over a core of warm cassis, kirsch and black raspberries.
