The 2017 LAZ Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon marks their fourth vintage in bottle. It is comprised of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Malbec, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. Each lot was fermented and aged in French oak (60% new) before blending just prior to bottling. The wine was bottled without fining or filtration after approximately 19 months in oak barrels. "At first whiff, this multi-dimensional wine shows swirling aromas of blueberry, rose petal and bright cherry-vanilla cola notes. Soft and silky at entry, the mid-palate builds with flavor while the tannins remain full, soft, and approachable. As the wine slowly fades, the lingering flavors show fresh berry notes combined with a touch of dark chocolate." - Celia Welch, winemaker. 93 Points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate A total of 95 cases were bottled on May 31, 2019.
