This newly released 2018 Napa Valley Red from Keever is DELICIOUS, thanks to winemaker Celia Welch. Comprised mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon with a little Merlot and Petit Verdot to round out the blend, it offers bright aromas of fresh raspberries lift, along with basil, sweet sage, and toasty vanilla notes. The entry is fully fruit-driven with bright fresh acidity and soft, juicy tannins. Texturally the wine is vibrant and showy, with lingering tones of fresh cherries and a hint of vanilla. This 6.5-acre vineyard tucked into the western hills of the Mayacamas in Yountville began with the 1999 vintage. Jim Barbour and his team planted the vineyard and Celia oversees winemaking. All the Keever family members are a part of the business and together, they’re a tight-knit group making great wine. 986 cases were produced.
