FEL is the winery in Anderson Valley which Cliff Lede founded after purchasing the famed Savoy Vineyard and years before, Breggo Cellars. FEL are the initials of Cliff’s mother, Florence Elsie Lede. This 2017 Pinot Noir comes from Ferrington Vineyard, located just outside the town of Boonville, an area of Anderson Valley that is more protected from the maritime breeze, giving the wine from Ferrington a classically fruit-driven and opulent Pinot Noir character. This wine is made of a blend of Pommard, Wädenswil, and the Dijon clones 115, 777, and 828. “Always the most lush of FEL's single vineyard Pinot Noirs, this wine is packed with aromas of mountain strawberry, crushed raspberries, rhubarb, and sun tea. The mouth is bright and lifted, with fresh red berry flavors and notes of mint, fresh fig, and a vibrant, quenching finish." 215 cases were produced.
