This is Benoit Touquette's newer single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Since 2013, Benoit has been working with the fifth-generation Bettinelli family and in, their vineyard just south of Yountville on the west side. Bettinelli Sleeping Lady Vineyard started as a country estate for gold rush-era San Franciscans and still feels like you should be riding up to the 1870s house on horseback. This west Yountville vineyard is named for the distinctive foothills behind the property, which look like a woman laying on her side. "The 100% Cabernet 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Bettinelli Sleeping Lady is a pretty, elegant yet full-bodied beauty that has terrific notes of blue fruits, violets, bay leaf, and damp earth. It has an almost mountain fruit-like tension and purity, fine tannins, and a great finish. In short, it's a thrilling Napa Valley Cabernet that's going to keep for 25 years or more.” – Jeb Dunnuck. 200 cases were produced.
