Maya and Naoko Dalla Valle and Axel Heinz and Giovanni Geddes da Filicaja of Ornellaia are longtime friends and stewards for the legacies of their estates, half a world away. They possess the innate sensitivity to place and process that generates soulful wines for each label, vintage after vintage. And it is what led them to create DVO. Comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the 2019 DVO exhibits “a crescendo of black and red currents, violet, and cassis. The 15% influence of Cabernet Franc seamlessly ties everything together with baking spices and crushed summer herbs. Velvety and polished tannins give the wine a prolonged and elegant finish.”
