The latest vintage of Drinkward Peschon is focused and vibrant. On the nose, the 2017 Drinkward Peschon exhibits aromas of boysenberries and black cherries that come together with notes of roasted coffee, black licorice, and orange rind. This wine is beautifully structured with good energy, fine-grained tannins, and a luscious finish, all reflecting the vibrant nature of the 2017 vintage. The 2017 encompasses 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc. Since their inaugural 2000 vintage, we’ve been a fan of this wine project, 'Entre Deux Mères' or ‘between two mothers’ started by Francoise Peschon and Lisa Drinkward. Most know of Francoise’s winemaking efforts from her days as the winemaker at Araujo and now making exceptional wine at VHR-Vine Hill Ranch, Cornell, Heimark, and Accendo Cellars. Lisa Drinkward and her husband own Behrens Family Winery. Worth a lot more than its price point, this is still one of our go-to Cabernet Sauvignons today.  610 cases were produced.
