Detert is tucked into the western hillside of the famed To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville and beginning in the late 1960’s, the Detert family sold the fruit to Mondavi Winery’s Reserve program. It wasn’t until 2000, under the care of the next generation of their family, did they make their first vintage from the 18-acre vineyard site. Today, winemaker and vintner, Tom Garrett and his family work the one of the best viticulturists in Napa Valley, Mike Wolf, to optimize the highest potential of this special vineyard. “Rich, textured and powerful – showing the delicious vibrancy and intensity of the vintage. This is a classic, layered Cabernet Franc showcasing aromas of dark berries, violets, and minerals.
