This is the second release of Crossroads Cabernet Sauvignon and comes from Rudd’s 48-acre vineyard, all 100% estate fruit and organically planted and is driven by ripe black and red fruits, and a dense tannin profile. “Aromatically decadent with red currants, violets, and black licorice, this vintage continues to show off what a great vineyard site can bring. For a youthful Cabernet Sauvignon, the structured tannin profile is well integrated and balanced by the purity of the brambleberry on the palate.”
The Crossroads wines are created to be a taste of Rudd wines at a more accessible price without sacrificing the same attention to detail and drive to improve practices, farming, and winemaking year over year that is consistent with Rudd Estate. Crossroads is estate grown, coming from the same vineyards and crafted by the same winemaking team as Rudd Estate, making it a reflection of the place and the people of Rudd Estate. Despite the pedigree of an Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon and Mt. Veeder Sauvignon Blanc, Crossroads is priced accessibly and is meant to be enjoyed upon release. I would highly recommend trying some as I think you will love them as much as I did when we recently tasted them. Last year we sold out of these wines within a month upon release due to their high demand and quality.
