Prior to becoming the full-time winemaker at Vineyard 7&8 last year, Wes Steffens honed his wine knowledge at The French Laundry and later trained in winemaking under Bob Levy of Harlan and BOND. This 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, with bits of Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, offers great concentration with notes of blackberry paste, espresso, and pepper finishing with lush tannins. Wes worked with select vineyard sites on Spring Mountain including their estate vineyard to bring this wine to bottle.
