This is the first vintage of Cornell’s newest Cabernet Sauvignon that comes from their estate vineyard on Spring Mountain. It is meant to be enjoyed now and offers insight into what this property is all about. With consulting winemaker Francoise Peschon and lead winemaker and viticulturist Elizabeth Tangney overseeing winemaking, this team is formidable and highlights this rugged vineyard’s potential in the bottle. Their vineyard averages about 2-2.5 tons per acre which is very low but offers focused dark red, fruit and underlying notes of dark cocoa in the glass. This is a great wine with incredible pedigree, especially for its price.
