With a family history of winemaking that spans more than 100 years in the Napa Valley, Cardano Estate Winery was founded and is operated by managing partner and winemaker Edward Lewis Snider. After 20 years of making wine with Beau Vigne, Ed wanted to honor his grandfather and his heritage by creating his new label Cardano Estate Wines. At the same time, Edward has passed the torch by working with his son, Nicholas, as his assistant winemaker. The 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon upon first glance, offers a dark garnet color and on the palate, striking purity of black fruit, tobacco box, with a center of deep berry flavors. This Cardano Estates classic is comprised of 100% hillside fruit, from Atlas Peak in Napa Valley. It is mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with 7% Cabernet Franc and 7% Merlot to round out the blend. The balance of entry and depth of structured tannins lead to a long, glowing finish.
