Domaine de L’Arlot ‘Clos de L’Arlot’ Premier Cru Nuits-Saint-Georges Blanc 2022
If you love White Burgundy, this is one you need to have. Known for its steep, rocky parcels and biodynamic farming, Domaine de l’Arlot has been a standout since its founding in 1986, thanks to vintner Jean-Pierre de Smet, who spent eight years alongside Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac before taking over L’Arlot. This white wine from Nuits-Saint-Georges is a true rarity, crafted in a region almost entirely known for reds. Domaine de l’Arlot spans 14 hectares, the vast majority planted to Pinot Noir, with only 5% devoted to Chardonnay—making their white wines exceptionally scarce and highly coveted. Among them is Clos de l’Arlot, a prized parcel of 50+ year-old Chardonnay vines located just behind the domaine’s historic home. In 2015, rising star Géraldine Godot took over the domaine, honoring its biodynamic roots while refining the style with gentle extraction and less new oak. For the 2022 vintage, she used indigenous yeasts and aged the wine for a year in 25% new oak. The result is a beautifully precise white, with notes of wet stone, crisp green apple, and a hint of salted almond.

Domaine Remi Jobard ‘En Luraule’ Meursault 2022
At the most recent Inspire Napa Valley VIP Dinner for the Spring Wine Weekend, K. LAZ donated a few White Burgundies for guests to enjoy alongside the Napa Valley classics- and this one was a showstopper. A team of six sommeliers unanimously named it their favorite Old World wine of the night. Winemaker Rémi Jobard, who grew up among the vines learning from his father and uncle, took over the estate in 1996 and has elevated it ever since. He converted all holdings to organic, earning certification in 2011 despite the region’s disease pressures. This bottling comes from a chalky, .45-hectare parcel with 30+ year-old vines next to the 1er Cru vineyard Gouttes d’Or. Fermented with indigenous yeast and aged in 20% new barrique, 30% used, and 50% in large older foudres, it’s beautifully balanced- allowing the wine’s mineral spine to shine. This is classic Meursault: richness and texture wrapped in a nervy spine and a long, lingering finish. We can’t get enough.

Domaine Marc Roy ‘Les Champs Perdrix’ Marsannay 2022
Domaine Marc Roy's 2022 Marsannay ‘Les Champs Perdrix’ is a refined white Burgundy made from Chardonnay. Sourced from Marsannay's highest-altitude vineyard (350m), bordering Fixin, the 40-year-old vines grow in shallow limestone-rich soils, imparting a distinct mineral character. Aromas of white flowers, stone fruits, citrus, and hazelnut lead to a fresh, balanced palate with a lingering finish. The 2022 vintage offers improved harmony, generous fruit, and vibrant acidity, making it enjoyable now or with aging potential. With only 2,000 bottles produced from a half-hectare vineyard, this rare Marsannay Blanc showcases the craftsmanship of winemaker Alexandrine Roy.
