This is one of our favorite Reds coming from the famed Pritchard Hill region in Napa Valley. Considered their flagship wine, this 2019 showcases the richest and most compelling estate Cabernet Franc from their 15-acre estate vineyard which rests at 1200-1400 feet in elevation. The deeply layered aromatics and supple texture of 62% Cabernet Franc is blended with select barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon. These vineyard blocks overlook Lake Hennessey and are sheltered in a shallow bowl ringed by trees. Cooling breezes from both the coast and lake moderate the daytime temperatures, creating ideal growing conditions for Cabernet Franc. In the glass, it possesses the structure to support extended aging along with the refined and silky texture for pleasurable drinking while young. Winemakers Philippe Melka and Matt Johnson have made a beauty that continue to evolve for the next 10-12 years. 415 cases were produced.
