This 2019 is a showstopper at its respective price. Luxurious in mouthfeel and layers of flavor, it offers dark juicy notes after a few minutes in the glass. “Your senses will be enveloped in the intoxicating scents of wild blackberry, blueberry, and plum with intriguing hints of sandalwood and dry flowers. The plush flavors, echoing the aromas, are supported by a savory, round, luscious mouthfeel. This wine boasts a density and volume that commands attention, yet it remains beautifully balanced with vibrancy and softness. Succulent and satisfying, it leaves a lasting impression well beyond the final taste.” 

Adamvs on Howell Mountain has made significant progress since my last visit. The vineyard now spans twenty-eight acres, with the majority dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon. Under the guidance of vineyard manager Mike Wolf, consulting winemaker Philippe Melka, and winemaker Alberto Bianchi, they produce four estate wines. Three acres are dedicated to producing Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc. I recently revisited and was impressed by the exceptional quality of their wines. The vines have become more acclimated to their surroundings and have matured, resulting in remarkable wines. Two of the wines, each with their own unique character, stood out and are definitely worth a taste.
