This has been one of my favorite Sauvignon Blancs since their first vintage of 2014. It is medium-bodied with purity and precision. And that makes sense because winemaker Francoise Peschon was known for her Whites when she was making the Araujo’s Sauvignon Blancs when they owned Eisele Vineyard and Accendo is the new winery that the Araujo family launched in 2013. The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of the Sauvignon Musque clone and Semillon and offers "heady floral fragrances of jasmine and honeysuckle which add exotic notes to the fruit aromas of guava, green apple, white nectarine and kiwi, nuanced by touches of Kafir lime and lemongrass. In the mouth, the fleshy, supple and succulent texture is brightened by fresh acidity, with a lingering minerality prolonging the finish. This 2018 is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Sauvignon Musque. Francoise loves the balance of floral, fruit and minerality – each one displayed in perfect equilibrium.
